A tattoo is usually a permanent dedication to things or people that have had an influence of any kind of us. US marines and sailor have been getting their bodies engraved with meaningful tattoos for years now. Though in many cultures a tattoo if considered as a decorative ornament for the body, a lot of people get them done to symbolize something that means a lot to them. Tattoos are a way to show appreciation to people and situations that have changed a person. Portraits are a favorite among marines. Many get a tattoo of people that have changed their views and their lives as a way of dedication to them forever. Though many still consider it as a art form to enhance the body, a lot of people are going in for tattoos that actually mean something to them as a way of appreciation.
William Hill, owner of Wild Bills Tattooing in Roseville, California built his first tattoo machine from a doorbell at age 14. He began experimenting in a tiny tattoo shop set up in his bedroom closet. His first tattoo was a girls name, his second was covering it up. He never saw a real shop until three years later in 1972. He knew at that moment that’s what he wanted to do with his life. His first tattoo business license was bought in 1974.
